Electric Questions
Sun Sep 3, 2006 1:54PM
To answer many questions about the upcoming electric season.
We will be changing the max MAH for batteries to accept the currently available batteries.
We will be allowing LiPo in Brushless Truck and 1/18 Open as such those classes main times will be extended. There will be no MAH limit for these two classes.
We will be allowing brushless in the mod classes.
The main times for Stock and Mod will not change.
I'm waiting to post the exact limit for MAH to be sure a new battery doesn't pop up right after I set this limit. I will lock in the limit right before the season kicks off to hopefully prevent this.
I'm still trying to lock down dates at a couple tracks and then I can post the schedule. due to so many things happening in RC Pro in October and November we will start the season the 1st weekend of December.
I'm still looking for an Electric Series National director. If you have race director experience, race organization experience, a LOT of patience, willing to NOT race at these events and are interested please email me at rcprosales@gmail.com and use the subject electric director inquiry.
thanks
Carlton
2007 Electric Offroad Schedule
Sun Jul 16, 2006 6:17PM
2007 Race Schedule coming soon!!!
Season should begin in Oct of 2006, and the Finals will be at Leisure Hours Raceway.
I know with the gas prices and so many other BIG races on the schedule this year it makes it tough for all the racers. So I'll be putting in a slightly modified plan starting with the Electric Offroad season.
Last year in this series we had 3 division races and your best 2 counted for the division and toward you national points. For 2006/2007 season this will change slightly. We will go to 2 races per division with both counting toward the division title. You will also be able to race one out of division race and the points from that can be used toward your national points only. I'm sure this will cause some confusion so let's see if I can explain it better.
Division championship will be decided by two(2) division races.
National points can be scored by
Two (2) division races + the finals
OR
One (1) division race + one (1) out of division race + the finals
This will require more work for RC Pro to keep the division points & national points seperately but it will give the racers many more options and hopefully cut down on their travel expenses.
We are also looking at adding a division out west and need to find interested tracks. If you are a track owner/operator please contact me at rcproseries@gmail.com
thanks
Carlton

The National points are finally posted. Here
Brushless Motors
Sat Mar 18, 2006 11:16AM
I've contacted most of the Brushless motor manufacturers and as of yet I have not received any specs from them so I would be able to set some specs for the brushless motor rules. So for 2006 any brushless motor that is available retail and fits in the vehicle will be legal.
