2008 Electric Series
This year each division has two races. This is an effort to reduce the need for a major road trip and help cut costs for the racers. Both races will be used to determine the division points (no drop).
Also this year you will be able to score points outside of your division toward your national points total.
How will this work?
1. If you run outside your division and the points from that event is better than one of your division races that race will be used toward your national points standing instead of the division race. Only two of your best races will be used for your national standings.
2. The out of division racer will be taken out of the results when figuring division points for the host division.
3. Each racer will also receive entry points. Meaning you will receive 5 points for entering and racing at each event maximum of 3 events not counting the finals. You must race in atleast one qualifier to get these points you can't just enter and not show.
Hopefully this will give the racers that want to travel to other races incentive to do so plus give everyone a chance to better their national standings if they had problems at one of their division races.
